WHY IS VENUS HOTTER THAN MERCURY ?

Everyone asks why Venus is hotter that Mercury. It was a nice question to answer. We all know that after the sun mercury is in at the first position and Venus is in the second. So, mercury is the nearest planet to the sun.

Mercury:  Mercury(planet) is the smallest planet in the solar system. Its orbit around the sun takes 87.97 days. Two spacecraft had visited the planet mercury. Mariner 10 and messenger are the two spacecrafts who visited the planet mercury. It has no atmosphere. So, It can't hold heat.

Venus: Venus is the second nearest planet to the sun. Venus orbits the sun every 224.7 earth days with a rotation period of 243 earth days. It rotates in the clockwise direction. It has a dense atmosphere and in the atmosphere there are a lot of Carbon dioxide  . So, It can hold big amount of heat in his atmosphere.

Because of Venus has a atmosphere it is hotter than mercury. In the atmosphere of Venus there are a big amount of Carbon dioxide . So, we all know that Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas. So, because of carbon dioxide heat is stored in the planet Venus.

So, Venus is hotter that mercury.
